Hong Kong Association for the Rights of the Elderly - Association for the Rights of the Elderly (A.R.E) established in 1979, with its members mainly consist of social workers and academics of social work training in Hong Kong. The objectives of A.R.E. include: (1) To enhance the awareness and develop the potential for self and mutual help; (2) To contribute constructive comments towards elderly policies; (3) To protect elders' rights and well-being and advocate for improvement; (4) To raise community concern and respect for the elderly.
